What is MOVEON?

MOVEON is a joint care drink from Immority, one of the Wellous brands. Each 25 ml sachet is ready to drink and combines three patented ingredients with turmeric extract and vitamin D3:

• Ovomet (Spain): eggshell membrane, the thin layer between the shell and the egg white. It naturally contains collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine and chondroitin, and is separated from the shell without chemicals.
• UC-II (United States): undenatured type II collagen from chicken cartilage, extracted at low temperature so its structure stays intact.
• BonePep (Japan): a hydrolysed egg yolk peptide developed by Pharma Foods International, studied for bone health.
• Turmeric extract and vitamin D3.

MOVEON is a product of Wellous, a Malaysian wellness company. Its three patented ingredients come from Spain, the United States and Japan. A box holds 16 sachets.

Does MOVEON work, and how soon?

MOVEON is a food supplement, not a painkiller, so it is not meant to work like one. What we can tell you is what the studies on its ingredients measured:

• In a clinical study of Ovomet cited by its maker, people who took 300 mg a day for 50 days reported 40.5% less joint pain, compared with 20% in the placebo group.
• The maker of UC-II cites studies in which it improved joint comfort scores about twice as much as glucosamine with chondroitin.

Results vary from person to person. Because these studies ran over several weeks, a fair trial is about 3 boxes (48 days) at one sachet a day.

See a doctor rather than relying on a supplement if a joint is hot, red or swollen, if the pain started after an injury, or if it keeps getting worse.

Does MOVEON have side effects?

MOVEON is made from food ingredients and is classified as a food product. Points to know before you start:

• Egg allergy: Ovomet comes from eggshell membrane, BonePep from egg yolk and UC-II from chicken cartilage. If you are allergic to eggs, do not take MOVEON.
• No painkillers: SGS tested MOVEON for 365 drugs used in clinical practice, including painkillers, and found none.
• Lab tests: SGS found no heavy metals, and Bio Synergy Laboratories found no harmful microbes.
• Medicines, pregnancy and breastfeeding: MOVEON contains turmeric. If you take blood thinners such as warfarin or any regular medicine, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor first.

If you notice any reaction, such as a rash or an upset stomach, stop taking it and talk to a doctor.

Is MOVEON Halal?

Yes. MOVEON is Halal certified by JAKIM. Separately, HALVEC Laboratories, a JAKIM panel laboratory, tested it and found no porcine DNA. If you would like to see the certificate before buying, message us on WhatsApp.

Is MOVEON registered with KKM?

MOVEON is classified as a food product by NPRA, the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency under the Ministry of Health (KKM), as a botanical beverage with eggshell membrane and type 2 collagen. Food products do not need a MAL registration number, so you will not find one on the box. MAL numbers are for products regulated as medicines, traditional products or health supplements.

MOVEON vs glucosamine: what is the difference?

Glucosamine and chondroitin are building blocks of cartilage and are usually taken in large daily doses, around 1,500 mg of glucosamine. UC-II works differently: it is a small daily amount of undenatured collagen that keeps its natural structure. MOVEON also adds eggshell membrane, which naturally contains collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid together, and BonePep for bone health, so you get several ingredients in one sachet.

If you already take a glucosamine product, ask your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

How do I take MOVEON?

• 1 sachet a day, after a meal.
• Shake the sachet, tear it open and drink it straight away. There is nothing to mix.
• One box is 16 sachets, enough for 16 days.
